Just to let you know that I’ve decided to sell my Tamron 28-200mm Macro F3.8-5.6 lens that I’ve bought in December 2008. I need a longer lens so I’m targetting 28-300mm lens

Gary, it’s all depending what you wanna shoot… if you’re doing more potrait or product shoots, go for fixed lens… if u wanna travel around, and need to zoom some hot chick, get tele lens

Yes Calvyn, Tamron is not that expensive, and it produces nice photos. You can also look for Tokina or Sigma, depending your budget

I own a nikon D90 with Af-DX zoom-Nikkor 18-70mm lens.The range is not enought for traveloversea. What lens would recommend for reasonably good compact wide-zoom lens ? Nikkor,Tokina or Tamron ?My budget is around RM2500.00.Thank you.

@New DSLR Dude, you can try to look for Sigma 18-200 travel lens. This is a good lens where you can carry anywhere and anytime with you on the camera… But the aperture size of the lens is quite low, so you’ll have problem shooting in low light… but this can be compensate with a flash
