The Canticle Singers group of Malaysia organized a choral performance “Be Our Guest” last weekend, and I was appointed to be the official photographer for them throughout the production of “Be Our Guest”. It was indeed an honor to be part of the project and team. They really practice real hard and the performance was fantastic!

Do check out the short video that was videoed by Jonathan Loke, my partner of the night at his website.

The production were shown from Friday – Sunday, from the 29th May 09 – 31st May 09 at University Malaya, Perdana Siswa hall. Even though it was a small production, I believe they have put a lot of their efforts in making this production a success. Bravo! to all performers of Be Our Guest!

The Co-Founder & Music Director of The Canticle Singers, Mr HK Chong have been actively organizing choral performances throughout the years, at least 2 productions will be organized by The Canticle Singers group.
Do catch out the production that will be shown this coming year end, “Two From Galilee”, which will also be perform by the TCS group.

Some of the songs that were sang during the night were The Winner Takes It All from Mamma Mia, Nella Fantasia from the epic movie The Mission, Baba Yetu from Civilization IV, Ralph McTell’s Streets of London, Wind Beneath My Wings from the film Beaches, a West Side Story duo, a medley of Rodgers and Hammerstein Broadway hits from The King and I, South Pacific, Oklahoma, Carousel, etc

Two of my personal favourite songs are Paraiso by Ryan Cayabyab, a Filipino song writer & Babayetu – Lord’s Prayer where this song will be sang during the march to the war in the olden days. Paraiso were played by Stanley Morris with his acoustic guitar. It was a beautiful song.

Stanley Morris on his acoustic guitar, mic-ing by Uncle Kenneth and team member, a very experience sound engineer that helps throughout the production. Uncle Kenneth is specialized in Vocal Performance and Choir performance. He is really technical and superb in positioning the mics.

Music director Mr HK Chong and the Art Director Mr Chin speaking on stage before the show ends. They specially thanks the sponsors, the audience, and the TCS group, and everyone that makes this a success.

On Sunday, it was also a special night for Betty & Joanne, where they celebrated their birthday after the show! Blessed Birthday!!

And this girl caught my attention, simply cute and smart girl.
