I was hired to photographed a wedding actual day in Singapore few weeks back. Well, I loved the tired and busy actual day together with the couple. It was an awesome and tremendous lovely experience for me. The wedding ceremony was carried out as usual. The day was started off with the traditional tea ceremony before adjourned to the yacht for official marriage registration signature ceremony. The entire setup was organized by Truly Harmony Singapore. It was my pleasure to meet up with the team there. Bravo for their works!

The yacht where the ceremony was conducted. It was huge and comfortable. Everyone got to take off their shoes in order to walk around the yacht. Nice!

I was asked by the couple to pen down my blessing to them as well. So, I did write some words for them :)

Last Saturday we did a Model Shoot in Putrajaya Precinct 1. If you know well about Putrajaya, one of the happening tourist spot in Putrajaya is Precinct 1, where you can enjoy the Prime Minister Office, the flags & water fountain, the river lake as well as the red mosque. If you spend a little more time to round around Putrajaya, you’ll be able to see a few beautiful bridges there as well. One of the bridge I took last year is here.

Oh ya, I did a shoot alone in Putrajaya last year, where you can see here & here as well.

The weather on Saturday was awesome. Not very hot and not very cloudy. Just nice for shooting. But when it touches 11++am. The sun was getting hotter & hotter. There were other tourist from India & other countries that saw us doing photoshoot, and they were so excited to see our activities and came to chit chat with us LOLXX!!

We then went on to a tunnel that connecting Precinct 1 and Precinct 2. We did some shots with the strobes as well as the natural coming in from the Window in the tunnel and follow by a group photo with 4 strobes in the tunnel.

Will upload more photos tomorrow, ya?! Cheers

** Photos are special edited by Sebastian. :) Thanks dude

Some pending photos for the street photography that we have done last week. Until today, we were still discussing the photos taken by various photographers. Even though all of us got to wake up early early in the morning, and having breakfast together before we start the journey, it was real fun and I actually woke up at 6am… Hehe…

I’ve learnt some of post-processing skills throughout the process of self-learning, it was real fun doing PP after all the photoshoots and it’s real real real fun. I’ve also uploaded most of the PP done photos to my Flickr account, and there are some critics and comments and compliments given by sifu and flickr members.

After all… it’s fun and glad that the models enjoyed themselves there… Yea, quite cheong hei right me? Hohoho….

St Anne Bukit Mertajam Penang

February 26, 2009

I visited the well known St. Anne’s Church in Bukit Mertajam, Penang during the holidays we had last month. It was a beautiful church with antiques and mould of some scenes from the bible.

St. Anne church is famous in Bukit Mertajam. Simple ask anyone in Penang or around Penang, they can guide you to the place. If you do a search in Google, you can find the map of the place and also Wikipedia writes up about St Anne Church.

According to the history written on the website of the church,

It was at Batu Kawan, as early as 1833 that Catholics first originated in Province Wellesley. They were mainly Chinese and Indian. It was from here that the Catholics gradually moved to Permatang Tinggi, Macang Bubok and Bukit Mertajam. By 1840, the Chinese Catholics started settling down at the Bukit Mertajam foothill. Personally, I like the surrounding of the church.. Fresh air, quiet, clean and big compound. Some of the building structure are based on English style. When we went into the church as shown above, some of the church members were praying there quietly, talking to God I believe. Of course, I did not manage to grab any photos inside because it was too quiet, and I dare not snap the camera.

This is the big church on the right, while the statue on the left + center is the statue of Jesus Christ, standing on the waterfall. Looks like Jesus Christ is the living water.

On top of the big stone, this is where the Catholic pray and have candles on the metal. Famous when people from all around the world gathers @ St. Anne church, especially during the Easter Day.

St. Anne Church The Cross - www.Gabriellai.com

I call this “The Path To The Cross” where it shows you 3 cross and I took it on the floor. It’s telling you that it’s the place for the path to the cross lor… Yup, I’ve done some post processing on the photo to have a better feel, else it will be very plain.

St. Anne Church corridor- www.Gabriellai.com

This is where I took the corridor of one of the building. Love the feel as I was standing there to look for a place to shoot with shadow, showing the details and showing the entire corridor. Tell me if you like it :)

On the way to the hill top building, snap this to show you guys that the path is always tough to reach your destinations. You got to turn left & right to reach the destination, as shown above :D
