Glory Food Corner blog is fitted with a basic design from WordPress. I love building webpages with WordPress because of its powerful + stability engine and it’s easy to use. The blog comes with 4 pages and they are the Main Page, Our Dishes where I put up some photos that I’ve photographed, Customers Feedback where it’s a guest book or comment page for the customers to say some words and Locate Us where you can find us, complete with Google Maps too :)

Dad’s shop fully painted with blue color, he loves blue color a lot, thus most of the section are completed with blue color. By default, the header is a light blueish header, but I changed it to match the restaurant’s color. Some of the dishes that I’ve photographed long time ago.. Check out Our Dishes section to find out more. Of course, I’ll put up more and more dishes to share with the internet world too!

Indonesia Jogjakarta Simple Lifestyle in the City

Sunday, August 16th, 2009

When I was in Jogjakarta for my business trip, what impressed me the most was the simple lifestyle of everyone there. Comparing ourselves from the major city and them, they don’t pursue after wealthy and richest, but a simple life where they enjoy the most. I can see they really enjoy their daily life while we always rush from a place to another destination just to earn a living. Isn’t better if we just live a simple life, yet meaningful instead of everyday rush hours?

I manage to get a shot of the people lifestyle where they were playing carrom by the road side. Question is, will you/we play carrom by the roadside and tourist will actually looking at you when you’re playing? I even witnessed with my own eyes that they were sleeping by the roadside or corridor; is not one of them, but many of them… Will you do that?

This is what they call the “Undag” in Indonesia if I’m correct. In Malaysia, we call this “Kereta Kuda”. Well, I think they name it quite nice and advanced comparing Kereta Kuda in Malaysia :D

Of course, one of the main transportation is the trishaw or in Bahasa we call it “beca”. I had this trishaw on every nights with my colleagues, and we will be brought to many streets and places. It was during the fasting month that time, thus we can’t see any interesting stuff, and they closed their shops/doors very early. If you have the chance to be there, make sure you take it. I’m sure you’ll love it. I paid for a ride at RM10 only and I was up there for nearly 45min :D

Indonesia Trip to Jogjakarta & Visit Borobudur

Saturday, August 15th, 2009

I was in Jogjakarta last year together with my company colleagues for a business trip there. I had the chance to visit the famous Borobudur in Indonesia Jogjakarta during my 4 days stay there. I have been wanting to write the story and experience I had with you guys in this blog, but didn’t have the chance. Here I share with you what I had photographed with my Panasonic DMC-FZ7 during my trip.

While we were heading to Borobudur; we saw this little dustbin that was hanging by the side, and it was written “Bank Jateng”. I feel so strange but yet feels that Bahasa Malay in Indonesia is so much more advance comparing us where by we named it “tong sampah”. I think Bank Jateng sounds more polite and soft comparing to tong sampah, do you think so? Hehehe

Borobur sunset

We were there to witness the sunset on top of Borobudur. Love the sunset and love the photograph that portray the sunset, don’t you think so?
Well, stay tuned for more updates on my trip to Borobudur. It is indeed a beautiful & nice place that must visit when you’re in Jogjakarta.
