A Green Symphony: Music Performers & Bands
July 1, 2009A Green Symphony concert that took place few weeks back @ Segi College, Kota Damansara. These are among the bands that filled the entire Segi College hall with beautiful music.
The bands that filled the entire hall with music are bands from various university in Malaysia. Some of the university are University Malaya & University Pertanian Malaysia. UM band is called the Yao Lan Shou where you can check out their weblog, they did it quite well @ http://yaolanshou.ning.com
I did not photographed much on the faces of the bands, because I was shooting @ low light condition, running @ about 1/25 – 1/30 shutter speed, really difficult to shoot. You know, when the musicians play music during the events and concerts, they will really play with all their hearts, shaking and moving around… this makes all my shots blur blur.
Instead of shooting their faces, I shoot some behind the scene objects. Just like what I’m showing here, photographed the movement of the drummer, guitarist and bassist is very very fun. I love the movement specially the hands movements.
Well, these are only from the University bands. More to come from the JUNK group & Orchestra group.
Chao!
A Green Symphony: The Behind-The-Scene Crews & Supports
June 22, 2009Snippet: A Green Symphony is a public event that organized by National Youth Orchestra & MCA Youth Selangor in conjunction with the Green Environment Day! Event held @ Segi College, Main Hall, Kota Damansara.
A Green Symphony concert was successfully accomplished with some of the sponsorship. Besides the sponsors & support from Yang Berbahagia Dato Dato, not forgetting also the behind the scene crew members that made the night so beautiful and beautiful sounds from the system.
Some of the crew that I manage to photographed, and must acknowledge their support and sponsors are:
1. Light & Sound, sponsored by CMG
Here, you’re witnessing the most expensive digital sound system, that can control the main board via wireless connection from anywhere, anytime.. It’s so much easier comparing to the analog sound system in those days. All these “machines” are so high-tech that you need training to play with it, I’m sure you’ll screw up the system if you don’t get any proper training
I love the lightings throughout the night. Bravo to CMG crew members. The lightings that filled the entire hall enabled me to photographed the entire concert much more easier, else I’ll be struggling with ISO1600, instead of using ISO800
Thanks to CMG lighting crew!
Also, one of the group that had put so much efforts throughout the events is!
Some of the instruments and stuff were displayed by Mama Treble Clef Studio during the entire show. Thanks to Ray Lee for inviting me to be one of the official photographer. I enjoyed photographing the concert, as well as the music concert. Thanks!
Stay tune for more photos from the concerts! Cheers!
A Green Symphony: CLUB8858 In Action!
June 15, 2009Snippet: A Green Symphony is a public event that organized by National Youth Orchestra & MCA Youth Selangor in conjunction with the Green Environment Day! Event held @ Segi College, Main Hall, Kota Damansara.
“A Green Symphony” was organized last weekend in conjunction with the GREEN ENVIRONMENT DAY! How do we preach Green Environment? Oh yea, music can speak to you, aren’t they? That’s why A Green Symphony was organized and was shown live in Segi College, Main Hall.
Club8858 Community was chosen to be the volunteered ushers of the night, since this event is to promote Green Environment Day and thus, Club8858 in actions again!
The briefing for the night started @ around 5PM by the organizers to the team leaders, and then the team leaders will preach the message & roles to the members. That’s how we make things organized, isn’t it? In order to make things flow and works better, communication is the key to make sure things turns out correctly!
See the members of Club8858 paying attention during the briefing nights.. Cool right? These are the people that had make the night success besides the organizers. Without the ushers to take care of the audience, VIPs, and VVIP, it will be quite difficult for the organizers to take care so many stuff also, right? Bravo to the team!!
Ha.. I specially likes this picture. No, they aren’t posing for me to shoot… they were the ushers for the VVIPs that night. They really looks cool and professionally at work!
Not forgetting the RELA group as well, that took care the traffic and parking that night. Without them, I’m sure the people might be having a tough time looking for parking lots that night. With RELA team there, it eases the people to look for a nice parking lots. Thanks very much for their assistance that night! Bravo!!
Group photo of the team members and organizer and coordinator of the night. This group specially assigned to take care of the program book and information counter. Saw the guy holding that brochure? that’s the official program book of the night, very cool!
Oh yea, another fun group pic.. This is one big group and also one of the important group that takes care the hall during the night. Like serving the VIPs drinks, making sure the audiences can find their seats and so on.. Good job once again!
Oh yea, I manage to get a pic with them.. Thanks to one of the guy that tried so hard to use SLR camera. I think he had fun cos he kept snapping and snapping us for few times
Nice working together with you guys, yea!!
Ok, another session… but this session is mainly thank you session, thanks to all volunteers that manage to turned up to assist, and also without you guys, it will surely no fun at all,,,, so thanks for joining us this time, and hope to see you’ll next time around ok? Heislyc and Jess were the coordinator that night, thanks to them and efforts that everyone had put in..
Haha… this is even more fun.. after some thank you words from the organizer & coordinator, then we do some group shots.. This is the FUN type group picture which I like very much… really fun having all of the guys that came that night.
Thanks once again!!
Stay tuned for upcoming posts of the concerts (Performances by groups, Official Launching & Orchestra)
