Finally, my all time dream lens is now sleeping in my camera bag. I have been wanting this SAL 18250 F3.5-6.5 lens since I started using Sony Alpha A200 a year ago. The best part about this lens is, it’s so much sharper than SAL1870 kit lens, in the range of 18-70 of course. Some of my test shots done at F10 were very beautiful. Loves the quality produces from the lens. Oh yes, I’m not going to use this lens, it’s either my brother ahmike or my dad will be using this travel lens. I still prefer my Minolta 28-85 F3.5-4.5 lens. Hehehe… Too bad, it’s not a Full Frame lens, but APS-C lens. Not bad any how.
sorry for my dirty table la.. this is where I shoot my Dinner of the Day! album.. hehehe
Oh yes, I just grabbed this lens from George Wong, our previous Sony Product Manager for Alpha. Now he’s running his own photography training/workshop centre. He’s a nice guy and willing to share person. It’s my pleasure meeting him just now at Mamak store.. LOL!! Check him out at www.revven.me where he holds up photography workshops from time to time.

Test shots were done with my Minolta 28-85mm F3.5-4.5 lens. Loves the color and results produces from Minolta lenses. I keeps old old lenses though. If you have any Minolta lenses wanna sell, let me know k? hahaa…..
Let’s check out what SAL18250mm F3.5-6.5 lens can do!!! Damm… I was shocked with the result. The below test pics were cropped and it’s still clear and sharp. Of course, enough lightings in photography is most important. Sifu Ted Adnan, master of lightings shares his skills at his blog often too.. Check him out!!
Testing shooting my Minolta 28-85mm. Since bought it over from one of the guy in forum, I didn’t have the chance to camwhore the lens la.. beside my brother already took off the virginity of the lens by camwhoring the lens when it reaches his hands la..
Overall, this lens is superb… no joke and no regrets of getting it! Thanks George for cleaning the SAL18250 lens for me too.. hehehe… next time Mamak on me again ya! Check George Wong out at www.revven.me and check out my brother ahmike photography blog too! Good night & S’lamat Hari Raya Haji!!

Hi Gabriel. How are you doing. I just came back from Melaka and i remembered you did a write up of this restaurant call Bai Chen. Fantastic food there!
By the way, since started using SAL18250 Lens, i stop using my kit lens already. It’s definitely a lens you want to use while traveling. The pictures are indeed sharp and beautiful.
By the way, I plan to sign up for the next alpha DSLR course for Alpha users since i failed to attend the one they held last year.
By the way, what is the difference between alpha 200 compared to alpha 230?

Wahh Gabriel! Turning photography into a career! SAL18250 is a superb lens! My 18-70mm and 75-300mm lens are on the shelf…..collecting dust since i got this lens!
Have you tried the 100mm f2.8 prime lens? What do you think of it?
I registered for the 10th Jan photography class for alpha users….. after more than a year of owning the camera!… A bit ketinggalan.

Hey Bro… thanks for dropping by dude… yea, SAL18-250 is useful specially when travelling.. since this covers most of the ranges… outdoor is best, but indoor difficult bit, cos its aperture is low lor
