RM428m to build Mosques, but only RM8.1M to build Churches, Kuils, & Temples!!!

Malaysia Boleh Government allocated RM428M to build mosques and suraus for Malaysian Malays, while only RM8.1m to build churches, kuils and temples.
KNN!! Not to say that Malaysia doesn’t have any mosques or suraus, we have many mosques in Malaysia, and suraus too, why do we need to waste the money again to build mosques again? Recently, Malacca Boleh built another big mosque near to MICT Malacca, officially opened by Agong. Does Malays needs an expensive mosque to sembahyang?
I learnt in my religion that my heart is the place where God dwells, not a physical building to sembahyang. As long your heart is pure and right before God……
Sometimes I really wonder how the government uses all the money given by Malaysians! Is it that the ministers need to be sent to primary school for mathematics again? or sending them to take a financial course with the young teenager? Damm It!!!
Doing a search on “KL Mosques” in www.Google.com.my, I was linked to this page: http://www.streetdirectory.com/malaysia/kl/landmark/mosque
Imagine, KL Mosques already took up 7 searched pages, yet government need RM428M to build mosques lagi!!! Errrgggghhhhhh!!!!!
ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!!!
KUALA LUMPUR: The Government has allocated a total of RM428mil to build mosques and suraus, and RM8.1mil to build churches, kuils and temples, said Datuk Mohd Johari Baharom, deputy minister in the Prime Minister’s Department in his written reply to Nga Kor Ming (DAP - Taiping).
The Government spent RM3.93mil for kuils, RM3.16mil for temples and RM1.6mil for churches.
Such allocations for the years 2009 and 2010 would be determined by the Government later, he said.
Since 1991, he said the Prime Minister had allocated RM1mil for the physical development of churches and temples and RM1mil for kuils starting from the year 2000.
A co-ordinating unit under the Prime Minister’s Department would approve the applications for non-Muslim projects, he explained.
RM15m for Operasi Tegas
RELA personnel are paid RM4 an hour and RM5.80 an hour for those who are platoon leaders and above for their involvement in Operasi Tegas to nab illegal immigrants, said Deputy Home Minister Datuk Chor Chee Heung.
Replying to Ding Kuong Hing (BN - Sarikei), Chor said a total of RM15mil has been allocated for Operasi Tegas this year.
“The rate to pay Rela staff was approved in March 27 last year,” he said, adding that there would be no revision of the rate this year as payment had just been approved not long ago.
To another question by Ding, Chor said Sarawak had a total of 518,000 Rela members, the largest number of Rela personnel in the country.
To a supplementary question by Fong Po Kuan (DAP - Batu Gajah), Chor said up till April this year, a total of nine Rela personnel faced disciplinary action for abuse of power.
Discounts should be for all low-cost house buyers
PRICE discounts given to bumiputras who buy houses should be revamped by offering the discounts to all buying low-cost houses, Chua Tee Yong (BN-Labis) said.
He added that it was illogical for rich bumiputras who could afford to buy houses costing millions to get them at discounts.
“The amount of the discount given is enough to buy low-cost houses.
“The discounts on house purchases for bumiputras should be opened to all poor Malaysians who want to buy their own houses,” he said in debating the mid-term review of the Ninth Malaysia Plan.
On poverty levels, Chua questioned whether the present poverty level indicator (PLI) was still relevant in the wake of the increase in fuel prices recently.
“We are told that the poverty level will increase to 24% if it includes those having an income of RM1,500 per month.
“I hope that the Government will change the calculations on the poverty indicators and take into account the national inflation rates, which will reflect the right picture of poverty in Malaysia.
“The Government doesn’t have to be ashamed of the higher poverty rate. More importantly, it should continue its efforts to reduce poverty and the impact of economic hardship on the poor,” he added.
Chua suggested that the Government give direct cash subsidies to families with a combined income of less than RM1,500 per month.
