First Day In JogJakarta Indonesia

Follow up on my recent post about my trip to Jogjakarta, after we arrived in Jogjakarta with MAS airlines,  passed through custom of Indonesia, we were picked up by our friend from JogJakarta.

Once we setup our demonstration stuff, servers and slides were up and ready for presentations.

Meeting + presentations session with Jogjakarta friends

We uses English throughout the presentations. Thanks to our friend that translated from English to Indonesian Language, so that everyone also can understand what we’re saying :)

1st day - doing my presentation in Jogjakarta

Once Eric done with the introductory and sales stuff, I continue with technical presentation on SmoothWall Advanced Firewall 2008 to everyone.

Basically SmoothWall AF 2008 is a Linux based software based firewall that can do many many wonders for an organization with a low-cost budget instead of spending on a hardware appliance that might cost a lot of money to you.

I showed the features, done some testing with the policies that I’ve configured to all of them. It really amazed them :D

Ramadhan Market during Puasa time... Fasting month!

Once we finished with the first day presentation, we left the place. While on the way, there were Night Market due to month of Ramadan, where every muslims will fast for 1 month.

The night time in Jogjakarta... it was taken at 7++pm, but real dark like 9++pm in Malaysia :)

Look at the sky, it’s getting dark, but it was only around 5-6+pm. In Malaysia, that will be around 7++pm.

I continue to take some shots of the night. It’s really different when you look at the clock, it’s only 6-7++pm, but it’s getting darker and darker..

Hotel that we stayed for 3 nights...Malioboro Inn

We checked in to a hotel call Malioboro Inn in Jogjakarta town. Many people said that Malioboro is the busiest town, something like Bukit Bintang in Kuala Lumpur lor…

The environment of where we had dinner

The restaurant is beautiful, well designed and beautifully decorated. The environment of where we had our dinner. The place were light up with some candles and small lights at the garden, but it was very dark, it caused my photos full of noise lor… but never mind, we had a great time chatting and enjoying the foods lor :D

Malay is call "tempeh".. something like soya bean

Once we have checked into the hotel, we head for food… Wow, all of us were so so hungry that time. We ordered many dishes, I whack most of them while they looked at me eating… hehe

kangkung...

The cooking style of the restaurant is pretty nice. Local taste, fishes are spicy too… I eat a lot of the dishes instead of filling my stomach with rice only. But no doubt, the rice is very nice…

Traffic was really bad in Malioboro town

Once we finished our dinner, we head back to the hotel. Our friend that droves us back were tired and exhausted already. So we requested him to send us back hotel, so that he can go back home and rest before picking us up the next morning :D

That goes our first day in Jogjakarta. Of course, please check out the night life in JogJakarta, where I recorded some photos and videos with my mobile :)

The morning of Jogjakarta... like afternoon to us... haha

Good morning in JogJakarta. It’s really bright at that time…. like afternoon lor…

Check back soon for more photos :D
